The Moot Court Society, Xavier Law School, St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata, is dedicated to fostering legal education and advocacy skills among aspiring law students. With a mission to provide a dynamic platform for learning and professional growth, we are proud to host our first-ever National Moot Court Competition—XavAequitas’24.
About the Opportunity
XavAequitas’24 is a national-level moot court competition designed to bring together the brightest law students from across the country. Participants will engage in rigorous legal battles, drafting memorials and presenting oral arguments before esteemed judges, with an emphasis on enhancing practical advocacy and critical thinking skills. This event offers a unique opportunity to compete at a high level and gain valuable exposure in the legal field.
Theme
The present moot proposition deals with the intricacies of contract law and consumer protection law.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all law students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programs from recognized institutions across India. Teams should consist of three members: two speakers and one researcher.
Registration Fee
The registration fee for each team is INR 2,500. This fee covers participation, event materials, and access to the moot rounds. Payment details will be shared upon registration.
Prizes
XavAequitas’24 presents a total prize pool of INR 1.8 Lakhs, aimed at recognizing and rewarding exceptional talent in mooting. Awards will be conferred across multiple categories, including Best Team, Runners-up, Best Memorial, Best Speaker, and Best Researcher, reflecting the high standards of advocacy and legal acumen demonstrated by participants.

- Last Date for Provisional Registration: 14th October 2024
- Last Date for Submission of Memorials: 18th October 2024
- Competition Dates: 24th to 26th October 2024

Teams can register by filling out the online registration form provided in the link below. Upon submission, teams will receive a confirmation email along with payment details. Final registration will be confirmed upon successful payment.
