The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) was established by an Act of Parliament (No.3 of 2009) at Kalaburagi, Karnataka. It is one of the 16 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the GCI Plan Period to address the concerns of ‘equity and access and to increase access to quality higher education’. About Online Faculty Development Programme
The 7-Day Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) aims to empower educators to integrate knowledge relating to Intellectual Property Rights in their teaching-learning curriculum. Innovation is the hallmark of national development that is based on intellectual attributes of humanity that needs to be protected and preserved in the form of rights.
For enjoyment of such rights, awareness is required that can be served through the medium of education where the instructors play a major role. Therefore, the empowerment of the instructors assumes great significance. Further, the contemporary world has led to the emergence of several dynamic issues that prevent the exposure to human intellectuality, some of such challenges being artificial intelligence, misuse of technologies, ignorance of newly emerging IP rights, lack of digital documentation of indigenous knowledge, etc. Such issues need to be addressed through the intellectual academicians maintaining the ethical aspects. Therefore, the FDP aims at bringing resource persons from various sectors of the Intellectual Property domain with both theoretical and practical knowledge and experience, whose insightful deliberations are expected to serve and produce the following objectives and outcomes respectively:
Eligibility
Since IPR is a multidisciplinary subject, interested academicians, professionals, industrialists, and research scholars from across disciplines having a valid Identity Proof issued from their respective institutions can participate in this event.
Certification Criteria
- 75% attendance in all the sessions that will be marked through online attendance tracking tool.
- 50% marks in all the assignments given during the time of FDP.
