Nature of Submissions

A Call for Scholarly Discourse The Ambedkar International Journal of Economics, Law, and Human Values (AJELV) invites submissions from esteemed academicians, jurists, and legal practitioners from across the globe. We seek original, unpublished manuscripts that contribute to the ongoing discourse on critical issues at the intersection of economics, law, and human values. The documents submitted will be published in the ISSN-numbered journal under the aegis of DR. B.R. AMBEDKAR CENTRE FOR ECONOMICS & SOCIO LEGAL RESEARCH

Categories of Submissions

AJELV offers a platform for scholarly exploration through diverse categories:

  •  Paper (Article) Submissions/Extensive Dissertations (8,000-10,000 Words):     This category welcomes comprehensive analyses of specific legal topics, delving into current practices and identifying potential lacunae. Authors are encouraged to propose solutions and enrich their work with an accompanying abstract not exceeding 500 words.
  • Focused Analyses (4,000-6,000 Words): Designed to provide timely insights and foster awareness of emerging legal trends and reforms, this category invites focused studies on well-defined topics. Authors are encouraged to offer novel perspectives and critical evaluations, accompanied by a concise abstract of no more than 500 words.
  • Pointed Observations and Critiques (2,000-3,500 Words): Enriching the journal’s content, the “Notes and Comments” section welcomes concise arguments addressing recent legal controversies or debates. While “Notes” focus on specific legal contentions, “Comments” offer critical appraisals of recent judicial pronouncements, legislative advancements (enacted or proposed), or proposed policy reforms. Brief notes should be accompanied by abstracts limited to 150 words. Case comments and legislative reviews require abstracts.
  • In-Depth Book Reviews (1,500-2,000 Words): This section provides a platform for insightful reviews of recently published scholarly works in the field of law. Abstracts are required for book reviews.

THE CENTRE HAS PROPOSED TO AWARD THE AUTHOR(S) OF THE BEST PAPER WITH A CASH PRIZE.

  • FINAL SUBMISSION OF FULL PAPERS: 15.03.2025

Submission Guidelines

To ensure the integrity of the review process and foster academic rigour, AJELV adheres to the following submission guidelines:

A. General Considerations:

  • Co-authorship is permitted for all categories except Book Reviews, Notes, and Comments, where solo authorship is preferred.
  • All submissions must be demonstrably original and unpublished, and not under consideration by any other publication. Plagiarism in any form will result in immediate rejection. Submissions exceeding the prescribed word limits will not be considered.

B. Formatting Requirements:

  • To ensure anonymity during the blind review process, authors’ names and institutional affiliations must be excluded from the main manuscript body.
  • The manuscript should be formatted in Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing for the main text and size 10 with 1.0 line spacing for footnotes. All headings must maintain consistent formatting.
  • Text and footnotes must strictly adhere to the General Rules of Footnoting. Submissions with endnotes will be rejected.
  • The first page should solely contain the paper’s title, followed by the abstract. The second page should include a table of contents, with the main body of the manuscript commencing thereafter.

C. Electronic Submission:

  •  All submissions must be electronically submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) as an attachment to bsaijelv@gmail.com with the subject line “Manuscript Submission for AJELV.” Submissions in PDF format, other file formats, or hard copy will not be accepted. Queries can also be directed to this email address.
  • The email body must include the author(s)’ names, contact information, academic qualifications, institutional affiliation (if applicable), the paper’s title, and a declaration confirming the manuscript’s originality and unpublished status.
