About SPIL Mumbai
Established in 2009, SPIL Mumbai is a student-led organisation at Government Law College, Mumbai, dedicated to promoting international law. It bridges the gap between academic study and practical application through events such as the International Law Summit, Judgment Deliberation Competition (JDC)©, the GLC-SPIL International Law Journal, guest lectures, etc. SPIL has successfully collaborated with international organisations like the International Law Students Association (USA) and Transparency International, with esteemed sponsors such as WTO, Reliance Industries, and Khaitan & Co.

Organised by the GLC-SPIL Mumbai, the Summit will take place offline on 8th March 2025 at the Auditorium of Government Law College, Mumbai, with the theme International Environmental Law. About the Panel Discussion 2025
SPIL Mumbai welcomes you to the Panel Discussion at the 15th Government Law College International Law Summit 2025: Redefining the Scope of the ICC’s Jurisdiction – Recognising Ecocide as the Fifth International Crime.
With climate change escalating, the need for accountability is more pressing than ever. Should large-scale environmental destruction be prosecuted under the Rome Statute?
