About The Organization
The School of Legal Studies offers graduate programmes with an objective of preparing Law graduates with a sound understanding of the fundamentals of legal knowledge. The school offers B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A.., LL.B. (Hons.) of five-year (10 semesters) duration and undertakes consultancy projects. Equipped with excellent infrastructure including Moot Court, Counseling Cell, fully air-conditioned library with variety of print and online resources aims to advancement and dissemination of knowledge of law and legal processes in the context of national development.
About The Competition
The 1st City-Level Mediation Competition, 2025, hosted by the School of Legal Studies, REVA University, is an initiative to promote the practice of mediation as a preferred dispute resolution mechanism. This competition provides an experiential learning platform where law students engage in structured mediation sessions, fostering essential skills such as negotiation, problem-solving, and collaborative dispute resolution.
Organized by the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Cell, this competition aims to equip students with practical exposure to mediation techniques, enhancing their ability to navigate complex disputes with professionalism and poise. Participants will assume the roles of Clients, Counsels, and Mediators, engaging in real-world dispute scenarios to develop strategic thinking and communication abilities.
The competition follows a three-stage format:
- Qualifier Round – All teams participate, and the top-performing teams advance to the Semi-Finals.
- Semi-Final Round – The top six teams compete for a spot in the Final Round.
- Final Round – The best two teams battle it out to claim the championship title.
With internship opportunities offered by CAMP Arbitration & Mediation Practice Pvt. Ltd. and Mohit Mokal Mediation, along with special awards from Manupatra, this competition is a stepping stone for aspiring legal professionals to gain practical insights into mediation and alternative dispute resolution.
Eligibility
The 1st City-Level Mediation Competition, 2025, is open to law students who meet the following criteria:
- Eligible Institutions: The competition is open to students currently enrolled in a 3-year LL.B. program or 5-year integrated LL.B. program at any recognized university in the Bangalore region.
- Team Composition: Each team must consist of three members:
- Client
- Counsel
- Mediator
- A university may register a maximum of two teams for the competition.
- Registration Requirement: Only teams that complete the registration process, including payment of the registration fee, will be considered as official participants. Once registered, no changes in team composition will be allowed except under exceptional circumstances, subject to the discretion of the Organizing Committee.
- Anonymity Rule: Upon successful registration, each team will be assigned a Unique Identification Code (UIC), which must be used throughout the competition. Any disclosure of institutional affiliation or personal identity during the competition may result in penalties or disqualification.
Registration Fee
The registration fee for the competition is INR 2500/- per team.
This fee is non-refundable and must be paid by all registered teams.
No refund shall be granted under any circumstances unless the competition is officially canceled.
The Organizing Committee reserves the absolute discretion to refuse or cancel the registration of any team.

Registration Process
Registration is limited to a maximum of 20 teams on a first-come, first-served basis.

Teams must complete the registration process by filling out the official online registration form by March 25, 2025.
The registration form requires teams to specify the roles of each individual member. Once registered, teams will not be permitted to change their composition. Any exceptions may be granted solely at the discretion of the Organizing Committee upon showing valid reasons.
Teams are strongly encouraged to complete the registration at the earliest possible to secure their participation.
