About the Event
Vidhi Mitra, the Legal Aid Cell of DNLU, Jabalpur, presents Writer’s Rangmanch, an exhilarating scriptwriting competition as part of REVA: The Academic & Cultural Fest 2025. This competition provides a platform for aspiring writers to showcase their creativity through compelling narratives and scripts that will be performed as Nukkad Natak (street plays). It aims to blend impactful storytelling with social awareness, fostering legal literacy and inspiring change.
Eligibility
- Open to students from all disciplines.
- Both individual and team submissions are allowed (Maximum of 2 authors per submission).
- Scripts can be submitted in Hindi or English (Bilingual format allowed).
Theme
Jagruk Nagrik: Saksham Kanoon
The theme emphasizes the role of an aware citizenry in strengthening the legal system. Participants are encouraged to explore how informed individuals contribute to justice, equality, and accountability.
Sub-Themes
Participants may choose any of the following sub-themes:
- Know Your Rights: Educating citizens about fundamental rights, duties, and constitutional provisions.
- Access to Justice: Importance of legal aid, counseling services, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Law and Technology: Cyber laws, digital evidence, and e-governance.
- Civic Engagement and Responsibility: Participation in democracy, civic duties, and local governance.
- Empowering Vulnerable Groups: Special protections for marginalized communities (women, children, persons with disabilities, etc.).
