Sathyabama is a prestigious institution that has excelled in the fields of Engineering, Science, and Technology for more than three successful decades. It offers multi-disciplinary academic programs in various fields of Engineering, Science, Technology, law, Dental Science, Pharmacy, Nursing, Management, Arts and Science, and Allied Health Sciences. It was established under Sec.3 of the UGC Act, 1956, and has been Accredited with an ‘A++’ Grade by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council.

The National Conference on Environmental Policy, organized by the Center Lex Environment at the School of Law, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology,is a significant platform for fostering dialogue and collaboration on pressing environmental Challenges. About Call for Papers
This Conference calls for papers from all disciplines regarding the conference theme – Environmental policies and laws which shape and govern environmental well-being and jurisprudence. Selected papers will be published in an editorial book under Centre Lex Environment, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology with ISBN number.
Venue
The venue for the National Conference will be Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. This will be exclusively for offline participants. Participants who are willing to opt online mode will be duly informed via email after the registration is confirmed, regarding the platform through which the conference will take place.

Submission Guidelines
Co-authorship:
Co-authorship is limited to two members. Cross-institutional teams are encouraged to participate. Further, participants of various designations are also encouraged to collaborate as co- authors.
(Ex: a student and a professor)
Themes and Sub-themes:
The participants must note that the theme and sub-theme that are mentioned in the brochure are non-exhaustive in nature. But, once a theme is chosen and an abstract is submitted, the theme shall not be changed. Any paper that is submitted containing any other themes than the ones already submitted shall be outrightly rejected and shall
not be considered for evaluation. Multiple entries for abstracts are discouraged. However, in the case of multiple abstracts submitted by a single author, the committee reserves the right to choose the theme for the paper.
Plagiarism and Publication:
The institution reserves the sole publication rights and selection rights of the papers which are submitted. The decision of the organizing committee is final and binding. Papers that are submitted shall not exceed 10% plagiarism and the submissions that exceed the same shall be outrightly rejected. Selected papers will be published as a book by the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology with the author’s credentials duly mentioned during the conference. The selected paper’s authors will be intimated regarding the same. The publication fee has to be paid separately, in addition to the registration fee by the authors in case of such selection which shall be informed to the participants in due time*
Word Limit:
The paper should contain a minimum of 4000 words and a maximum of 7500 words (excluding footnotes and abstract) Abstract shall not exceed more than 350 words. The word count of the paper should be mentioned on the last page along with the abstract’s word count as well. While submitting the abstract, it is mandatory to mention the word count of the same.
Abstract Guidelines:
The submitted Abstract should include the names, email addresses, contact numbers, and professional designations of the author(s) to facilitate communication and identification. It should also encapsulate the theme idea, research methodology, and research objectives. Selected abstracts shall be notified through emails and the participants shall proceed with registrations by making the payment of the registration fee and filling in the Google form. Please note that only after the Google forms are submitted, the registration is deemed final. In case of multiple entries, the organizing the committee holds the discretionary power to select of any.
Prizes
- The top 2 Research Papers (offline only) will be awarded ‘Best Research Paper’ with a Trophy and Cash Prize.
- Please note that in the case of Co-authorship, the prize money is awarded as a sum total and will not be individually providing a cash prize for each co-author.
- Top 5 Research Papers (Consolidated from all the categories, both offline and online) will be awarded a Certificate of Excellence.
- Followed by, Top 10 Research Papers will be Awarded Certificate of Merit (from all categories – both offline and online)
- Offline Participants shall receive the certificates during the valedictory while E-Certificates will be provided to Online Participants.
- All Participants shall receive Certificate of participation duly after the conference.

Registration Process
Kindly note that the payment process has to be initiated only after the abstract has been accepted by the university and confirmation mail has been received by the participants. The publication fee shall be paid separately and that shall be informed after the submission of papers.
Submission Procedure
Submissions of the abstract, as well as the research paper, shall be made to the official mail of the center before the deadline – centre.lexenvironer@gmail.com
Upon selection of the abstract and due registration, Participants are asked to prepare a research paper in the format provided by the institution and submit it as PDF and Word Document separately along with a Declaration letter attested
separately.
Further, communication regarding the selection of research paper to be a part of the editorial book with ISBN will be communicated to the participants via email after the submission of the research paper and the decision of organising committee shall be final and binding regarding the same
