About Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College
Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College, Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research in Law is a professional college functioning under the aegis of SDM Education Society® Ujire. The college was established in the year 1974. Since its inception, the college has been striving to search for innovative methods of imparting legal education. Our college has been commemorated in 2024 – 2025 as a Golden Jubilee year. Presently, the college is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi and recognized by the Bar Council of India. The college is re-accredited by NAAC with a “B++” grade and with CGPA 2.9 in 2019.
About the Seminar
SDM Law College Seminar and Conference Committee and PG Department of Law in association with the Indian Council of Social Science Research – SRC (ICSSR) is conducting a one-day National Seminar on “Reproductive Rights and Legal Frameworks addressing Population Issues.
The main aim of the seminar is to investigate the crucial role of laws in protecting individual autonomy, particularly women’s rights to reproductive choices. Reproductive rights include the right to family planning, safe abortion, maternal healthcare and the opportunity to make educated reproductive decisions without discrimination or compulsion. Legal frameworks play an important role in ensuring that these rights are respected and safeguarded, fostering gender equality and empowering women to make decisions that impact their health, and social, and economic well-being.

Submission Guidelines
- Each manuscript must contain an abstract of not more than 300 words inclusive of key words.
- Each manuscript under this category should be within 4000 words exclusive of footnotes.
- Co-authorship is allowed (Maximum two).
- Should confirm to the standard laid down in the Bluebook (21st edition, 2020).
- Citation should be in the form of footnotes only.
Registration Fees
- Registration for the seminar is free of cost.
- The seminar will be conducted online too. Participants are encouraged to come to the campus & participate. However, those participants outside Dakshina Kannada district may participate through online mode.
- Accommodation only on request and on payment basis. No travel expenses will be provided.
