About the Uttarakhand Legal Rights Consortium

The Uttarakhand Legal Rights Consortium (ULRC), part of the National Legal Rights Consortium (NLRC) of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI), is dedicated to legal advocacy, awareness, and assistance. In the past, ULRC has conducted engaging sessions on digital harassment, the Women’s Representation Act, 2023, and a quiz competition on decoding the IT Act.

About the Event

The Uttarakhand Legal Rights Consortium (ULRC) is pleased to invite you to an insightful panel discussion on the transition from the Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, and Indian Evidence Act to the newly enacted criminal laws—Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA).

As legal practitioners, adapt to these transformative changes, this session aims to provide practical insights into courtroom application, procedural shifts, and litigation strategies under the new legal framework.

Meet the Esteemed Panelists

  • Prachi Pratap – A seasoned advocate with over a decade of experience, representing clients before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, and Tribunals such as NGT and NCLAT. A Partner at Pratap & Co., she specializes in civil, criminal, property, and matrimonial cases, advising NRI clients across the US, UK, Ireland, and Australia. A four-time TED speaker and Forbes Legal Powerlist 2021 honoree, she actively promotes legal awareness and gender equity.
  • Aadya Antya – A skilled litigation lawyer specializing in constitutional, civil, and criminal law, with experience in Supreme Court, High Courts, and tribunals such as NCLT and RERA.
  • Vaibhav Srivastava – A distinguished advocate practicing at the Allahabad High Court (Lucknow Bench), with expertise in business law, criminal law, and human rights. An alumnus of University of Lucknow and NLSIU Bengaluru, he is recognized for his legal awareness initiatives through workshops and international representations.

The session will be hosted by Ms.Ekta Sati and Co-hosted by Pranavi Ayyagri.
